It’s been a busy few months to say the least here at JH HQ. The album is now officially out and available (woo hoo)! We’ve performed it in full at Celtic Connections with Rhiannon Giddens, The Old Kings Head In London with Sam Lee’s Nest Collective, and finally, in front of a home crowd at The Drygate Brewery in Glasgow alongside Fraser Anderson and DJ Dolphin Boy – thanks to everyone who came along and made the gigs so memorable!

We’ve had a lot of fun playing it live, but were a little nervous to see the album reviews… Slowly but surely they’ve been trickling in and we’re delighted to hear that folk like it! We’ve compiled the reviews below so click the links to have a read.

The Herald 29.04.16

The Guardian 08.05.16

The Observer 05.05.16

Common Space 19.04.16

Songlines Magazine June 2016

And if you’re not in the mood for reading, here’s a video of the making of Hearts Broken, Heads Turned by the uber talented Somhairle MacDonald! We hope you enjoy.

We’re looking forward to touring the album across the UK and Ireland later this year so stay tuned for dates!

Jarlath xoxo
